The Women Entrepreneurs Ignite (WE Ignite) gender-focused acceleration program developed jointly by One to Watch Myanmar and BoP Innovation is now actively recruiting women led businesses to join the program. WE Ignite will be selecting 10 women entrepreneurs for the program and help them address key gaps in their business model, determine growth strategies for their business and connect them with investors. The program is supported by the Advancing Women’s Empowerment Fund (AWEF), an activity under the White House-led Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) initiative among the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), the Visa Foundation, and USAID.
To kick-off the program, OTW and Bopinc will launch the “She Shares” inspirational webinar for women entrepreneurs in collaboration with the Myanmar Women’s Entrepreneur Network. The goal of this webinar is two-fold: 1) to inspire, encourage, and convene women entrepreneurs from all over Myanmar and 2) to present them with the opportunity to be part of the WE Ignite program.

During the webinar, four successful women entrepreneurs from various industries will share their entrepreneurial journey and strategies they used in overcoming challenges and attain successful outcomes. OTW accelerator alumni Thiri Aung, co-founder of Mickey’s Real Wood Upcycled Furniture and founder of Women Transforming Myanmar, will also be sharing her experiences during the accelerator program. A brief introduction of the program and information on the application process will be provided at the end of the webinar.
