Red Mud Coffee

Red Mud Coffee owes its name to the red soil on which coffee grows in the Kavre district. Aashish Adhikari established his coffee shop to change perceptions about the coffee that grows in the hills surrounding Kathmandu: according to him it can and should be affordable to all. “What I saw in the local coffee market was that it had become the drink of the rich and affluent.” He wants to change that, by being a full café serving sandwiches and burgers and the local favourite mo:mos alongside their brand of coffee.
